This is where you ask for things. Something the platform does not do, something that does not work the way you expected, something that takes four clicks and should take one. All of it is welcome, including the small annoyances. Especially those, in fact, because they are the ones nobody bothers to mention and everybody keeps hitting.

How to post one

Start a discussion. Put the thing you want in the title, in plain words. Then, in the post:

• What you were trying to do. The task, not the feature. “I wanted to find every Finnish entry that had been evaluated” tells us more than “add a filter”.
• What happened instead, or what is missing.
• How often this comes up for you, and whether you have a way round it.

You do not need to propose a solution. If you have one, say so, but the problem is the useful part. A well-described problem often has a better answer than the one the person asking had in mind.

If someone has already asked

Reply to their discussion rather than starting a new one, and say how it bites for you. Two people describing the same problem differently is more useful than two identical requests, and it keeps everything about one thing in one place.

What happens next

• Everything posted here is read. That is a commitment, not a hope.
• Small fixes usually happen without ceremony, and you will see a reply saying so.
• Bigger things get an honest answer about whether and roughly when. Sometimes that answer is no, and it will come with a reason.
• Nothing gets closed silently. If a request is not going to happen, someone says so in the thread.

Two things that belong elsewhere

• Something broken right now, or a member behaving badly, goes to a moderator rather than here.
• Requests about the science, the registry contents, or the measures belong in the space that covers them. This space is about the platform itself.
