Friends Through Memory – a group for people with early dementia
Once a week, people with dementia meet at the organisation's office. With the help of psychologists and music therapists, for between one hour and one hour and thirty minutes, people with dementia, guided by psychologists, solve cognitive tasks, share memories and have fun with the help of music and handwork. The theme of each meeting is connected to the life, memories and current daily life of its participants, which creates a warm and friendly atmosphere of sharing among them. Small items connected to the traditions and holidays of the Bulgarian people are also made. With the active participation of the group's members, its name was also chosen – "Friends Through Memory". A logo has also been made, developed in consultation with the group's participants.
